The end is close... but working here at the tournament does not really make things easier....
getting up at 6 am, writing some words for the research proposal...having breakfast, then off to work... 11 hours without a single break... having dinner, then continue writing ... what a day :)
anyway...work is going good, also with the tournament things seem to be alright, although really hectic... and almost no time for university work.
I hope that things calm down here in the next days, so that I can start with my survey on time. I still have not designed my final questionnaire yet.... there is still some time left, but it also has to be approved by our tournament director Ronnie Leitgeb.
have your fingers crossed that everything turns out alright!!!!!
The way to my Dissertation

and the studies go on and on....
not much time has past but a lot of studying :) ... my research proposal is doing good, my questionnaire for the survey at the ATP 250 Tournament in Kitzbühel 2009 is sent to my supervisor ready for checking...but still no time to rest... in a few minutes I will catch the train from Munich and travel to Kitzbühel where work starts at noon....I am really looking forward to the all the people that I worked with last year again, but on the other hand I am also absolutely excited to meet the new people, as the location changed from Pörtschach to Kitzbühel... A lot of things are going to be different, but in the end I am sure it will be a good experience again.
At the tournament I am responsible for the whole accommodation part of athletes, ATP offiicials and staff members, all the translations into English and Spanish. Besides that I also carry out my own survey on which my Dissertation will be based on.... a lot of things do to, but still I hope it will be as much fun as last year. Maybe I might also meet some prospective employers?!? who knows...

Time flies by
it is incredible but for some reason time seems to be running away from me...the day does not enough hours so that I can achieve everything I want...the end of the term is here, final assignments to write but everything happens so fast.
at the moment I am still working on my questionnaire to do my survey at the tournament, but I hope it will be approved by my supervisor. there are so many things to do...
hope the situations improves in the next days...

Kitzbühel
Now it is offical, there will be another tennis tournament in Austria. The Tournament of Ronnie Leitgeb moved from Pörtschach to Kitzbühel. I was asked to work again for them and my survey is official accepted :) The tournament is going to be held from the 17. - 24. Mai. This means that I'll have to have most things done before that. The tennis tournament in Munich will be held in the first week of mai. As we still have classes in this week and a lot of assignments to hand it I won't be able to go there before the 7th of Mai. Still I have not received any answer from the official side if I am allowed to do my survey. Well, in case that they do not reply I still plan to go there for the last 4 days of the tournament and so some research. This will probably be only interviews with a couple of attendees as questionaires might be too 'visible'....
Finally I got to know that Frank is going to be my supervisor. Still no message from him. Hope the meetings start soon.

things turn out the way I hoped them to be (at least in parts)
University keeps me busy with writing my assignments and doing research. Still some process can be in the last couple of weeks. Both formative assignments have been passed and first attempts in using SPSS were made.
My plan is to get most of the coursework done before and by the of the easter break so that I can use the time afterwards to focus on my dissertation. There is a limitation of time for be because of the tournament fixtures. Therefore I have to conduct my survey in May, right after all our deadlines. I also need to make some time to think about my dissertation during easter break, cos otherwise it might be a Mission Impossible.
my proposed title is:
The effect of customer satisfaction at visitor’s intention to revisit a sporting event
tell me what you think about it :)

First Steps
Assignments keep us busy, so there is not much time left to think about our dissertation.
Still I gathered some information over the summer, elaborating the thoughts and ideas used in my Bachelor Thesis. I want to repeat the research I did this spring on the customer sattisfaction of attendees of the Tennis Tournament in Pörtschach (quantitative research) as well as interviewing about 20 Top 100 ATP Tennisplayer (qualitative research) to examine their reasons to attend a Tennis tournament.
- Is there a connection between satisfied attendees and their revisit?
- Is there a positive connection between the attendence of high ranked tennis players and the amount event attendees?
- What makes professional tennis players choose the tournament they take part in?
